AHHHH!!!! Isn't Alfie Cute!!

Our new kitty, Alfie, is settling in very well.  He's quite a character, but then, so is the rest of the family, so he fits right in.  He's carved himself out an intense schedule of sleeping, eating, and playing.  He likes to sleep burrowed under the covers of our bed from about 9 a.m till 8 p.m.  He's like a little mole.  He gets up around 8 p.m. every night, tears around the house for awhile getting all his kitten energy out & then when we go to bed around 11:00 p.m., he comes & joins us for the night.  He's already learned his name, and when I call him he comes running.  Very cute!!  AAHHHH!!  Noah's already bought him a cat tree and a cat bed--and the two of them like to take afternoon naps together.  Talk about being spoiled!!  But that's OK.  He makes us laugh & that's what counts!!

Here are some more adorable shots of Alfie for you to oohh and aahh over:

OK...that's probably enough Alfie for one day.  But don't worry, there'll be much more in the future!!

Lots of Love,
Buckskin & Alfie

Cabin Fever Party at the Irma Hotel, Cody, Wyoming Territory, USA

Hi, Buckskin Lily here.  There hasn't been much going on lately.  Just a lot of snowing & working, but we had a chance to take a break from all that, get dressed up in our best Victorian duds and head to the Irma Hotel in downtown Cody for a night of socializing with the rest of the Colter's Hell Justice Committee.  Noah & I had been working on our costumes for over a month, so it was great fun to finally put them on and take them out for a night on the town.

The party started at 6:00 p.m. in the Governors' Room of the Irma Hotel with drinks and dinner.  Dinner was followed by a couple of hours of gambling--faro & poker mostly, and then an auction for prizes with the winnings.  Noah and I made a pretty good  haul.  Here's the loot we came home with:

There was quite a big turnout despite the frigid temperatures (it was in the low teens all day yesterday) and the treacherous, icy driving conditions.  Here is a group shot of the whole motley crew:

It was our first time at the Cabin Fever Party, and we're glad we finally made it.  It was a great time, and a wonderful way to spend some time with our shooting pards even when it's too cold outside to shoot guns.  Hope to talk to you all soon.

All the best,
Buckskin

Welcome To the Family, Alfie!!

We're still missing Emily a lot, but I thought it was time for a new kitty.  After visiting the HSPC (Humane Society of Park County), I narrowed the choices down to two:  Boo & Alfie.  I took Noah to the pound today to help me make a choice, and we ended up taking Alfie home with us.  Believe it or not, this big boy is only 7 months old.  The staff at the HSPC said he was the most cuddly and lovable cat they had, so we were sold.  Alfie's adjusting at the moment.  His favorite spots in the house are under the couch and under the bed, but he should acclimate soon.  Suzy is completely disinterested in the new addition, but Waldo is intensely jealous.  Just more proof that the bigger they are, the harder they fall...or something like that.  Anyway, just wanted to share our good news and a picture of our bundle of joy.  I'll keep you posted.

Bye for now,
Buckskin
