I'm weeding the broccoli & cauliflower beds. The tall leafy stuff behind me are potatoes. They're doing great this year. Corn in the foreground, peas to the left of them--out of the shot. Yellow squash, zucchini & pumpkins in the rows way at the back. Got green beans & lettuce going too, but they're out of the frame. Been eating fresh lettuce everyday. It's really good. Going to plant a second crop tomorrow. We made the final expansion this year--a permanent fence has been installed, so this is it.
Peas to the right on the stakes, lettuce to the left. Getting a little sparse, cause we've been eating it. The only thing that didn't grow this year was the carrots--that's what the empty rows are. I also need to dig up those shaggy chives. They're from last year & survived the winter, but they've about had it. Can't wait till fall & potato picking time. Last year's fresh potatoes were fabulous. That's why I planted so many this year.
Well...that's it for now. Just a short entry. Been meaning to put up some photos of the garden. Glad I finally got around to it. Talk to you soon! We're grouting tomorrow, so I'll put up some shots of the (nearly) finished downstairs bedroom. It's REALLY nice. Bye-bye!
Love,
Buckskin
